We were all excited for the arrival of Santa, even Bear has dressed up for his visit!
The children decorated Playdoh using feathers, lolly sticks and cupcake cases, creating their own ‘cupcakes’ to celebrate pre-schools Birthday! 
A great way to practice and develop our fine motor skills, using the tweezers to carefully remove the pom pom spiders from under the web, and match them to their colour tray, the children loved this activity…. this was the before photo 
Celebrating ‘World Ocean Day’ was a great way to be part of something big for the children, we looked at some of the species found in the Ocean, as well as some of the threats the ocean faces. World Ocean Day, 8th June
Our playdoh station allows children to select different tools to change and manipulate their ‘sculptures’. It is an opportunity to experiment and explore, as well as developing fine motor skills 
A great activity that allowed the children to experiment, as well as building confidence in their range of movements 
Animals can create an opportunity for creative play but also discussion about species, such as what they look like and where live, as well as the children’s own experiences, for example visits to the zoo or a family pet.
Our role play corner has seen some great themes so far this year including a garden centre, restaurant, a farm shop and an under water world. 
Bee week was great fun, and the children produced some beautiful art work, whilst we celebrated the importance of Bees and all things ‘creepy crawly’. World Bee Day, 20th May 
Digging and construction in the bark made a fun change to how we play with our vehicles.
The sand pit is another area in pre-school where we can use a range of tools, we could be digging, patting, scooping, ‘mark making’ etc 
A giant collage gives us the opportunity to enjoy ‘process art’ projects
